On Saturday the above club were at home to Liverpool, Boundary, Richmond, and West Cheshire Harriers.
The pack, numbering 64 took a course along the shore to Leasowe, thence to Moreton, and over surrounding country on to the Leasowe-road, where it was intended to hold a mile break; owing, however, to the gathering darkness and to the fact that the pack had split up into sections, it was abandoned, a run through taking place.
An ordinary run will be held to-day from the Ship Inn, Wallasey, while next Saturday is the date fixed for the novice race.
