Last Saturday the above club held an ordinary run from headquarters.
There was a very fair muster, and the men were divided into two packs, the "fasts" and the "slows." A course of about six miles was covered, and despite the weather and the heavy state of the country was enjoyed by all.
To-day the Christmas Handicap is being held. The distance of the race is five miles, and every man finishing the course receives a prize. Members are requested to be at the Fairhaven Institute not later than 3.15 p.m., as the first man will start prompt at 3.30 p.m. In the evening there will be a smoking concert, commencing at 7.30 p.m., when the prizes will be distributed and all members and friends are heartily invited.
Next Saturday there will be an ordinary run.
