Last Saturday afternoon Wallasey Athletic Club, Liverpool Harriers and Liverpool Boundary Harriers met at the latter's headquarters, Old Roan.
This year's senior runner-up in the district championships, Tom O'Mahony, skipper of Liverpool Harriers, showed the way home over a short 7 miles, closely followed by two of his club's juniors. Denis Dickinson (42m. 35s.) and Foster (42m. 50s.), of W.A.C. filled fourth and fifth places, and Tony Dickinson (9th) (43m. 49s.) and Hewson (13th) (46m. 28s.) also counted for Wallasey. The team result was Liverpool Harriers 13 points, W.A.C. 31 points and Liverpool Boundary 41 points.
Liverpool Harriers also provided the winner of the youth's race over 3 miles in Hamilton (22m. 08s.). Ken Ledward (8th) (23m. 30s.), Johnson (11th) (23m. 56s.), Scammell (13th) (24m. 07s.), and Lynch (16th) (24m. 58s.). counted for Wallasey.
Mary Currie, Colleen Hilliard and Sheila Terry of Wallasey Athletic Club have been selected to play for the team representing Wallasey Netball League against Flint next week.
The coach for Runcorn, where the West Lancashire Cross-country Union championships are being held to-day leaves Seacombe at 1 p.m.
