At the Tower Athletic Ground next Monday, July 26, the first Wallasey Athletic Club championship will be held. An award will be made to the best all-round athlete; performance will be judged on the decathlon scoring table.
On Wednesday next, club members under 19 will compete in the 220 yards, high jump and javelin events for the Brookes award. Entries for each of these evenings must be communicated to the secretary before the evening concerned.
At Bolton recently, in Dobson & Barlow's sports, B. O. Kivlin won the 120 yards hurdles; and at the Northwich sports last Saturday he took second place behind Huntriss, of Liverpool Harriers.
