A last-minute fixture with Sutton, Pembroke and Port Sunlight Clubs last Saturday, resulted in a win in the youths' race and third place in the boys' race.
Barlow of Wallasey was first in the youths' race of 3 'muddy' miles in 19 mins. 22 secs. Team scores were Wallasey 10 points, Pembroke 18 points. Sutton 35 points. Counting men for Wallasey were D. White, 4th; D. Noble. 5th. The Townsend brothers did well and newcomer Chalton, running for the first time in inter-club races, finished in 8th position.
In the boys' race P. Beasley of Pembroke won the race in 13.42 mins. and Pembroke also won the event. Wallasey were third with 53 points and Edwards did well to finish 8th.
