The club-run held last Saturday meant that for the first time in several weeks the club had no fixtures or races. A most encouraging and unusual feature emerged from this run, this being that for the first time so far this season more seniors turned out to run than did youths.
This most satisfying sign may well develop into Wallasey being able to finish a complete senior team in the local championships instead of just the usual two or three runners competing.
This week, the Christmas handicap is being held at club headquarters. There will be two races, one for boys and the other for youths, juniors and seniors combined. On Boxing Day we hold our annual cross-country race against the Wallasey Cyclists. Last year a cyclist won the race but as usual the club won the team race.
