Wallasey gained individual honours in the 'mob' run at Crosby last Saturday John Wright was first man home in the senior race, and B. Woolford was second club man in 16th position.
Other finishers were D. White 30th, P. Townsend 41st, I. Hunter 56th. This completed the counting six with 169 points and fourth place in the team results. Other competitors were V. Bayliss 57th, B Chalton 67th and A. Jones who retired hurt.
In the combined boys' and youths' event J. Clinch of Port Sunlight was first boy in and A. Howard of Wallasey on his first outing managed a good second place in the youths race J. Cowan was Wallasey's first man home.
Today the club compete in the H. S. Finney championship at Warrington. Wallasey are the defending title holders and must warrant a good turn-out. Meet at Liverpool Central for the 12.55 p.m. train for Warrington the venue is the Thames Board Mills, Slutchers Lane, Warrington.
