The Liverpool & District Cross-Country Union Championship was decided at Port Sunlight, to-day. Liverpool H. & A.C. won the Youths' Championship from five clubs.
Sefton Harriers were second, and Wirral A.C. third. The twin brothers. E and H White, celebrated their 18th birthday by coming home first and second respectively. J. Hope, of the same club. was third, and R. Holme seventh. For Sefton Harriers, R. Goodwin was fourth man home, F. Jones sixth, and F. Denby eighth.
For the Junior Championship of six miles between aged 18 and 21 years, there were eighty entrants. the clubs being Liverpool Pembroke. Sefton Harriers. Liverpool Harriers. Liverpool Boundary, North Liverpool Gym, Wallasey Harriers, Wirral, and Liverpool University. The Senior Championship of nine miles was run later in the day.
Junior Championship. - Wirral A.C. 1, Liverpool Boundary 2. Liverpool H. & A.C. 3. Squire Davey led all the way for the winners, and finished with a big margin. R. Mount (Sefton Harriers) was second. Time 37 mins. 8 secs.
