The Annual Senior and Junior Championships of the Liverpool Association were run through from the Bromboro' Pool Football Ground yesterday.
There was only a poor crowd present, but the racing, taken all round, was capital. There were seven teams entered in each event, and the senior competition went to Wirral A.C. with a total of 51 points.
The individual winner was the well-known runner, Sep Francom, and the eighth in the race was his son, A. Francom - something of a record in cross-country running.
The Junior Championship was rather easily won by A. Hoban, Liverpool Pembroke A. & C.C., who practically led throughout. Details:

On settling down Francom and P. Scott made the running from Atkinson, Byron, Bridson, and Jones. On the second lap Francom had a long lead of Scott, Bridson, Byron, and Kendrick, and, making practically all of the running. Francom won easily from Scott, Bridson being a good third.

The placings were practically the same throughout, for on settling down Hoban led from Knowles and Forshaw, and practically making the running throughout Hoban won by 30 yards, 20 yards between second and third.
