With a total entry of 228 runners in today's "Chris Vose" 7-mile road race, it will be seen that Wallasey A.C. face a stiff task if they are to succeed in this tough run around the undulating roads of Warrington.
Amongst the entries received from Bolton A.C. is one of Ronald Hill, distance runner supreme and Olympian elect, and he, together with co-internationals Mike Freary and Jack Haslam, will form the main opposition to be overcome.
Wallasey's contingent will be spearheaded by Brian Woolford, Ron Barlow and John Wright and this trio will be ably supported by Brian Chalton, Roy Parry, David Field, Mark Aldridge, John Young and Kevin Mather.
