The annual West Lancashire championship took place at Knowsley Park on Saturday. Result: J. Wharton, Ravenhead. 1; R. Young, Wallasey A.C., 2; J. Dutton, Runcorn, 3; F. Shadwell, Warrington, 4; S. Chamberlain, Lancaster Park, 5; C. Thompson, Liverpool Boundary, 6. Won by 50 yards. Time. 42min. 11 sec. The club placings were Ravenhead and Warrington, 85 points each dead heat.
Senior Championship. For individual honours W. H. Begg, of Sutton, expected to hold the best chance, and as a matter of fact he looked all over a winner at the half distance, when he had taken a sixty yards lead. Entering the last circuit he was still in front, but later he was run out of it by the more powerful West Cheshire Harrier, A. G. Roberts, who won easily at the finish. Sutton again became entitled to claim the championship, while West Cheshire was second and Warrington third. The club placings were:- Sutton 52 points, 1; West Cheshire, 59, 2; Warrington, 76. 3; Sacred Heart, 140, 4. North Liverpool
Gymnasium and Wallasey failed to finish teams.
