Hearty congratulations to Pembroke on the feat of providing all 3 winners of the Liverpool & District Cross-Country Championship events. J. Johnstone won the senior race; W. H. Marsh the junior race, and H. McCartney the youths' event.
The successes are well deserved for no club has shown more enterprise and persistence. In addition, the club is maintaining a standard of distance running.
Other Merseyside clubs are showing up well just now.
J. J. Kay is fast working his way to the front rank.
A sturdy runner with a nice easy style, he is showing that he possesses the talent which champions are made. He always gives the impression that he is running well within himself, and thus gives confidence to his club-mates.
