In the second Northern Cross-Country League meeting Wallasey Athletic Club's women's team won the senior event from Airedale and Spen Valley A.C. with Barbara Banks repeating her performance in taking the premier individual position.
The Wallasey team although not at full strength was stronger than at the last meeting with the addition of Sylvia Brimage (who was still eligible for the intermediate race in the successful team of the previous evening).
