At the three-cornered meeting between Waterloo, Southport and Wallasey last Monday at Waterloo, Southport and Waterloo were no match against a strong Wallasey team.
The result was a win for Wallasey with 50 points, Waterloo 2nd with 37 points and Southport 21 points, scoring 5-3-1 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placings.
The best performance of the evening were by R. Barlow in the mile and R. Fullerton in the 440 yards. Running senior and junior mile as one race R. Barlow, although only a youth, took the lead in the third lap and held off all challengers to win in a time of 4 mins. 38 secs.
It was pleasing to see R. Fullerton showing a return to form by winning the 440 yards in 53.5 sees., and later repeating this performance in the 440 yards lap of the medley relay with a time of 52.5 secs.

In the Winnington Park 10-mile road race last Saturday Wallasey A.C. successfully fielded a team of 5 runners, all completing the distance. The first Wallasey man home was John Lynch, who was placed 10th in a time of 57 m. 26 s. only 6 m. 44 s. behind F. Norris, of Bolton, who is one of the British marathon hopes for the Olympic Games. The other W.A.C. men were placed as follows; - J. Winrow, 37th, 64 m. 16 s., J. Ryan, 38th, 66 m. 45 s., F. Ledward and R. Scammell finished joint 39th in 67 m, 35 s.
