W.A.C. finished 8th in the West Lancs. Novice championship over a fast 4½ mile course at West Derby on Saturday.
At Northwich today W.A.C. take part in the senior and youth races in the Cheshire County Championships. The club's main prospect of success appears to be in the youth event which is already held by W.A.C.
In the senior race it is hoped that Bob Johnston will be in the top individual placings and again be selected for county representation.
Main interest in the weight lifting centres on young Ron Brownbill, the present British 8 stone champion, who has received an invitation to compete in the British 9 stone championship at Luton next Saturday.
Coach leaves Seacombe Ferry 12:30 p.m. and Birkenhead Town Hall at 12:45 p.m. for Northwich today. Club run from H.Q. at 3 p.m.
