The annual general meeting of Wallasey Athletic Club was held at the newly-erected club headquarters in Leasowe Road, Wallasey. The interest of those present ensured that athletics will continue to be well administered by the only recognised athletic
club within the borough.
Officers elected for 1951-2 were:-Cross-Country captain, J. Edwards; vice-captain, R. Johnston; junior captain, E. G. Maddock; youth captain, D. J. Anderson; cross-
country secretary, J. R. Woolley; track captain, L. Platt; :track secretary, C. R. Hewson; women's captain, Miss. B. Humphrey; women's secretary, Mrs. E. B. Hewson; weight-lifting captain, J. McCulloch; weight-lifting secretary, G. Joynson; hon. gen. secretary, R. F. Hubbard; assist. gen. secretary, R. McCaig; hon. treasurer R. Pringle; committee, Miss P. Price, N. Sadler, D. W. Dickinson, F. K. Ledward.

The first of the Cross-Country fixtures takes place today (Saturday), when members of W.A.C. travel to West Derby, home of Sefton Harriers, for the annual district Monstre meet, in which it is anticipated that some 200 runners will take part. All members of W.A.C. are asked to meet at Liverpool Landing Stage (by bookstall), at 2 p.m. prompt.
Entry forms are now available for the annual schools Cross-Country championships organised by the club. Conditions are similar to those in previous years, but full details are available on the back of the entry forms, which can obtained from the secretary of the club, or from the Youth Office in the Town Hall. Further details will be given in next week's notes.
