The club novice championship took place on Saturday from Wallasey headquarters, Harrison-drive, when nineteen runners faced the starter.
About fifteen senior runners also turned out as trail-layers and whippers in. The course was one of six miles over what proved to be a heavy course. The winner's time was 38 minutes, and the race was keen as shown by the following placings : -
1. - D. Kerr, 38mins. 0sec. N.L.G.
2. - A. N. Fenner, 38mins. 15secs. N.L.G.
3. - J. W. Dodgshon, 38mins. 45secs. Wallasey.
4. - T. Sheridan, 38mins. 55secs. Wallasey.
5. - J. E. Crone, 39mins. 30secs. Wallasey.

7. - Reg Hyde, 39mins. 45secs. Wallasey.
8. - J. E. Coward, 39mins. 46secs. N.L.G.
The second in the race is a young runner still at school, and might have won but for a lost shoe. J. H. Henderson, who finished sixth, is a younger brother of Dick Henderson, last year's Liverpool & District Junior Championship winner. J. W. Dodgshon will hold the Wallasey Branch Cup as branch champion.
To-day's run is under the branch arrangements. Wallasey Branch from Cricket Pavilion, Harrison Park. Start 3-15 p.m.
