Last Saturday a pack of fifteen runners of the Wallasey branch went over a seven mile course by way of the marshes and Moreton. It proved heavy going but the run was enjoyed.
To-day the branch takes part in club run with Sefton Harriers at Blue Anchor, Aintree.
Next Saturday, club novice championship takes place from the Cricket Pavilion. Harrison Park, when members who have not won a prize since leaving school are eligible to compete. Wallasey are running their branch novice championship in conjunction with this club fixture, and there is a cup presented by an ex-champion of Wallasey Harriers, Mr. Tom Brookes (who is how in Australia), to be field for one year by the first man home of Wallasey branch, who, of course, will also receive the medal as branch champion. It is hoped that there will be a good turn out for this event. Distance about six miles. Start 3-15 p.m.
