Wallasey Harriers & A.C.

A remarkable tone of enthusiasm characterised the first turn-out of the season.

Twenty-two runners, capably led by Captain Bill Richardson, had their trial spin. Three of the members came from afar, viz: Woolton, Formby, and Hoylake. Vice president Mr. Bob Young, who has passed the fifty mark, was one of the participants. The course taken was along the Leasowe-road, across the golf links, to Bidston Church, along the Hoylake road, and then home again across-country.

Our R.H.A. member said something about, bringing a team of his colleagues from Hoylake next Saturday for an interclub run. The Junior element, whose presence characterised many of our meets last season, were lacking in attendance, and it is hoped that they will make an effort to keep up their reputation by turning up at the Wallasey Village Festival Pavilion to-day at 3 p.m. Any one interested will be welcomed.
