Sefton Harriers took on a big responsibility when they invited Bangor University, Liverpool University and Wallasey Harriers to inter-run with them last Saturday, but the large pack was comfortably accommodated, and the fixture was keenly enjoyed, despite the weather conditions. An interesting feature of the race was the appearance of the brothers Jones, all members of Sefton Harriers, R. G. Jones ran for Bangor, E Jones was in the Liverpool University team, and P. Jones turned out for Sefton. Bangor had the pleasure of scoring a good win after their long journey, for they registered 44 points, Liverpool University were second with 72; Wallasey third with 87, and Sefton (with a depleted team) fourth with 106.
