A good variety programme will be staged at the Port Sunlight Recreation Ground, on Tuesday, when the following clubs will compete in friendly contests: Liverpool H. and A.C., Wallasey Harriers, Old Crosbeians, North Liverpool Gymnasium, Wirral A.C. and Port Sunlight A.C.
The sole object in arranging this competition has been to encourage a continuance of the true amateur spirit which has been reflected in previous ventures of this nature. It is hoped that all local athletes will ensure the success of this enterprise by giving their wholehearted support towards the achievement of such a worthy aim.
The events to be contested include the usual sprint events, mile and half-mile flat races, one mile relay, and spectacular field events. No charge for admission will be made to the general public, who will have every comfort that could he desired - seating accommodation and shelter for thousands! First event 7.30 p.m.
