3 intrepid triathletes from Wallasey A.C. flew to Austria to compete in the Karnten IRONMAN Austria. Dave Walton was first home in an astonishing time of 11 hours 27 minutes 05 seconds. Dave was 7th in his age category and managed a sub four hour marathon at the end of an event which included a 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike ride and then a full marathon. Another superb performance was from Claire Walton who completed the 3 disciplines in 12 hours 28 minutes 20 seconds. Paul Thelwell also did extremely well coming home in 13 hours 22 minutes 55 seconds. A great effort by all three competitors.
